I’ve never owned a watch before, so I decided to change that. Ordered this Skagen Falster tonight.

Figured that if I was gonna buy a watch, I might as well buy an actual automatic.

It has wind-ey bits and stuff! (technical term)

Soooo fancy. It’ll match my black on black on black Architect wardrobe.

Very nice! I have the same two Timex Ironman Triathlons I’ve had since Grade 6 and Grade 9 (black and gray, respectively) back in the late ‘90s...though they’ve gone through MANY straps over the years, only a few batteries!

I’ve had two Skagens over the years. I love their thinner designs, as they fit comfortably under a slim-fit suit.

But my everyday watch is the MVMT Chrono in gunmetal. Nice enough to look good with most attire, but affordable enough that I won’t be heartbroken if it ever breaks. I bought the matching metal band for when the tan leather clashes just a bit too much. The body is a little bit thick, but I honestly prefer it that way.

My adventure watch is a G-Shock GDF-100. I’ve had it for years, and it’s near indestructible. I’ve taken it scuba diving, rock climbing, backpacking, snowboarding, and it has seen temperature ranges from 115 all the way down to 20 below without any problems. I’m a fairly stout guy (about 6'3", 200#), and it still looks huge on me. But it has yet to let me down.

I have four Skagens. All gifts from my wife. They all suit my tastes perfectly. She just gave me a hybrid which has some smartwatch functions. I’ve never been interested in an Apple Watch or similar, but this I think is pretty cool. I didn’t even know they were making them until my wife gave it to me.

I love it! My only two watches are Skagens. I love how things and sleek they are. I really need to get their batteries replaced.

Luckily I won’t have to deal with batteries, just clockwork that’ll probably lose time.
